long and (lender ; it had fix eyes, the two foremoft were very finall, the
two next pretty large: they were placed as are exprefled in the Plate,
It was taken amongft fome nettles near Newington-Green, at the end
o f A p ril.
N°. XXXV.
T h i s finall Spider is o f a dark reddilh or chef nut colour, its back
dark, the upper fide o f its belly was prettily marked with white and
lio-ht chefnut colour: It had globular bunches at the ends o f the feelers,
the legs were very long for the bignefs o f the Spider, the two foremoft
being the longeft : It had four eyes ftanding in a right line, in the forepart
o f his head. This Spider was taken at the latter end o f A p r il in
Cain-Wood.
N° XXXVI.
T h i s Spider was o f a dark afh colour on the back, which was very
finall, the upper fide o f the belly was black and white, regularly marked,
reprefonting the fhape o f an Oak-Leaf, having a finall fhade o f
chefnut colour in it, the belly o f this Spider was very large : its feelers
finall and long; it had eight eyes placed as they are exprefled in the Plate.
It was taken by the N ew -R her, at the latter end o f A p ril.

T h i s Spider was, on the upper part of its back, of a fhining black,
the lower part next the belly o f a colour inclining to red, the belly
black, regularly marked with a lighter colour much refembling a leaf5
its leas were o f a dark red or chefnut colour, (potted with black; the
foelers were flender : Its back was fo fhining, and its eyes fo finall that
they could not without great difficulty be difoerned, they were eight in
number
