Fro n d s glabrous, coriaceous, elongate, bipimiato-pinnatifid, or
trip in n a te ; th e piuiiæ triangula r-oblong iu form, inferior ones
distan t and sub-opposite; pinnules ovate; base wedge-shaped.
Rachis and stipes ebeneous, p u rp le , and paleaceo-villose.
Rhizoma brief, horizontal, and fusco-paleaccous.
L en g th of frond twelve inches, of which the lower h a lf is
naked.
Sori sub-continuous.
