A VERY handsome stove species, and easily cultivated.

Sterile frond lanceolate, p innate, pinnæ alternate, segments
ad n a te , acuminate, with a sha rp-pointed ap ex ; largest in the
centre of the frond, where th ey are two inches in length, and
g rad u a lly becoming smaller, till at the apex th ey are only h a lf
ail inch in len g th , whilst th e te rmina l p in n a is two inches long.
Ma rgin entire.
F e rtile frond p in n a te , pinnæ linear-acuminate.
Fro n d s termina l or lateral, ad h e ren t to a slender caudex,
often erect, and attaining a h e ig h t of two feet.
Stipes and rachis smooth.
Veins forked.
Sori linear and continuous.
L en g th of frond from twelve to twenty-four inches.
