T h e fronds, which are triangula rly-elongate in form, are
glabrous and p innate, the pinme being linear-lanceolate in form,
profoundly pinnatifid, with the apex entire and caudate; petio-
lulate. T h e basal pair b ip a rtite ; segments lin e a r, obtuse,
slightly falcate, and entire. Costa on the up>per side spinulose.
Stipes from one to two feet long, scaly near the base.
F ro n d s te rm in a l; rhizoma erect and fasciculate.
Sori linear.
Veins forked.
L en g th of fro n d from thirty-five to fifty inches; colour a
d ull green.
