F ro n d s of two kinds. F e rtile fronds contracted, pinnate,
th e pinnæ being linear and acute. Sterile fronds ovate-lanceolate
in form, glabrous, p in n a te ; th e pinnæ oblique, oblong-ovate,
and a cu te ; the in ferior ones being petiolate, and in some degree
cordate at th e base. Ma rgin serrate.
F ro n d s terminal, being attached to an u p rig h t fasciculate
rhizoma.
Stipes scaly.
Sori lin e a r, elongate, and continuous.
Veins of the sterile fronds forked.
L en g th of frond from twelve to twenty inches; colour a dull
