T h e fronds, which are tap e rin g , and only two inches wide,
are pinnatifid, except at the base, where p in n a te ; segments adnate,
falcate, or sub-falcate, auriculated upwards, and abbreviated and
coiiflnciit towards the short caudate a p ex ; costa and rachis
glanduloso-pubescent. Sori u n eq u a l at th e base, the uppermost
shorter.
Stipes sh o rt and glanduloso-puhesccnt, th e base covered with
narrow scales.
L e n g th of frond twelve to eighteen inches; colour deep green.
