A x evergreen greenhouse species, with a graceful appearance.
Na tiv e of New Z ealand, New H o llan d , and Norfolk Island.
Raised frcm spores in the Roya l Gardens, Kew, in 1834.
I h c fronds, which are slender, pendulous, and narrow lan ceolate
in form, are pinnate, the pinnæ being oblong-obtuse,
rig id , and rugose: supe rior pinnæ sessile, with a spinulose-
se rrate m a rg in ; inferior pinnæ petiolate and cordate-auriculate.
P in næ widest in th e centre of the frond, becoming less both
towards the base and apex. Base of the stipes scaly.
Stipes and rachis pink.

Veins forked.
