Mr. Roy has announced th a t the Cymatonema figured by
Reinsch {Contrib. t. 6, / . 7) has been found in Scotland, and
is a genuine OEdogonhm, bnt no further details have tran spired,
and we know nothing of the fructification. The sterile
cells are figured on Plate L V II. fig. 23.
