9. Meter. Tinplate, painted cream, with gold decoration, on three levelling
feet. Underneath on a plaque, the letters S, D, H, and numbers 20,
1, 14. Diameter of main drum 270; diameter of clock face 145; overall
height 490. Clock can be stopped by sliding the brake around the top;
alarm bell. Signed on clock face:

10. Photometer. Mahogany box (200 x 160 x 265 in height) on three
wooden wheels. White enamelled plaque reads:

The box has a square aperture above plaquer larger one opposite, and
two oval apertures each side. Triangular prism helow. Two lead wedges
attached to back. Inside fits a frame with a grease-spot photometer and
two angled mirrors.

11. Communicator. Cream-painted iron plate (115 x 152), with,¿pipes
below, holds a dial with enamel face (diameter 155)- Overall height
240.

12. Governor. Box of cream tinplate decorated gold and red. Base 305
x 172 x 100 high. Arch above with white scale marked 0-9 and 1-5 by
ones. In centre below arch is a drum with radial slit in top, and above a
support for cord and pin, now missing. Drum contains float and small
weight on cord.
