SPECIFIC CHARACTER.
HEATH, with bearded tips within the blossoms,
which are cylindrically club-shaped, of a scarlet
colour, and in whorls. Leaves nearly by sixes,
bristle-shaped, and attenuated into capillary
footstalks.
DESCRIPTION.
STEM shrubby, two feet high, with the
branches and branehlets erect, and often alternate.
