DESCRIPTIO.
CAULIS fruticosus, ramosas; rami obsolete verticillati,
gráciles, flexuosi, corticc ferrugineo-fusco.
Folia tcrnata, erecta, late-lincaria, ohtusa, subliilinearia,
niinulim ciliata, subtus sulcata.
FLORES parvi, saspius tcrnati, in fasciculis terminalibus
et latcralibus.
CALYX duplex, coloratus, adprcssus, foliolis
cuncato-ovatis, corolla imbricatis.
COROLLA urceolaris, supcrne roseus, laciniis
pat u lis.
STAMINA octo, capillaria; compressa, anthene
barbata;, exeria;.
PISTILLUM. Germen tianeformc; stylus riliformis;
stigma tetrjgonum,

SPECIFIC CHARACTER;
HEATH, with crested tips within the blossom,
blossoms pitcher-shaped headed terminal and lateral,
leaves hi threes and abated.

STEM shrubby, branched; the branches obscurely
whorled, slender, ilexuose, with a rusty
brown bark.
LEAVES in threes, upright, broad-linear, blunt,
near three lines long, minutely ciliated, and furrowed
beneath.
FLOWERS small, chiefly in threes, in terminal
and lateral bunches.
EMPALLMENT double, coloured, pressed to the
blossom, with the leaflets wedge-egg-shaped, and
imbricated on the blossom.
BLOSSOM pitcher-shaped, upwards rose-coloured,
with slightly spreading segments.
CHIVES eight flat threads; tips bearded, without
the blossom.
POINTAL. Gormen turban-shaped ; shaft threadshaped
; summit tour-cornered.
Native of the Cape of Good Hope.
Flowers from the month of September till February.
