BRIGHT YELLOW AGARIC.

^JpHE root is fmall and hard, emitting black-brown fibres.
•The item is two; inches high, fmooth, largcft at the bafe,
hollow, yellow. both within and without, and eafily fplits in
yellow, ihining filafrients.
The curtain is white', extremely light and delicate; it vaniihes
in the infancy of the plant, and leaves no mark on the Hem.
The gills are in three feries, of a narrow oblong figure, thin,
and tender they are at firit white, afterwards yellow, and change
at kit to a. dniky brown, .•
The pileiis at firit conical, and covered with a tough ilippery
glutin; afterwards becomes convex, but moit frequently with
the-.centre a little elevated; in the progreis of growth,' the margin
becomes itriated, and frequently rent; at laft the whole plant difaolves
in a brown gelly.
Grows on dunghills, after rain, in June and July.
