E ntoloma pileo carnoso-membranaceo, umbonato, lævi, glabro; stipite fistuloso,
torto, striato ; lamellis sub-liberis, crenatis.
Pileus fleshy-membranous, campanulate-convex, umbonate, even,
smooth, h j'g ro p h an o u s; margin expanded, bent backwa rds; stem fistulöse,
twisted, striated, whitisli, tomentose a t the base ; gills almost free, crenate,
pallid th en rosy. A large elegant sqiecies, cinnamon tu rn in g ochre when

Pileus w’h ite with adpressed tomentum, changing to brownish wdiite
when aged, irregularly lo b e d ; gills broad, distant, fragile, piinldsh h u f f ;
stem cylindrical, twisted, silky'-fibrous within. Growing on the ground in
qiatches and carrying up e a rth on th e pileus.
