amiulato ; lamellis decurrentibus, albidis, demum ciñereis.
A. speciosus, Scop.
Pileus fleshy, convex, obtuse, at length plane, depressed, glabrous, very
glutinous, rose-coloured, an inch to th re e inches wide ; stem solid, two to
three inches long, h a lf an inch or more thick, a ttenuated downwards, white
a t the apex, reddish brown at th e base, viscid from th e v e il; veil annulate,
b u t fu g a c io u s; gills strongly decurrent, distant, distinct, branched, entire,
mucilaginous, th re e to four lines wide, at first whitish, th en greenish
cinereous, clouded from th e spores, separating easily from th e hymeno-
qihorum; trama n o n e ; spores greenish gray, a t length black, '0007" x
