Boletus stipite firmo, undique apiceve coccíneo; pileo e globoso pulvinato,
oliváceo; tubulis minutis, adnatis, angularibus; carne c®rulesoente.
Pileus globose th en pulvinate, n o t involute, not polished, somewhat
tomentoso, olive-coloured; stem firm, conical th en nearly equal, scarlet,
re ticu la ted ; tubes adnate, minute, angular, yellow; flesh pallid, becoming
blue. I n woods.—Fries.
Our specimens were gathered in E pp in g F o re st, where th is species is
