beautiful plants. They must have a warm

of plants well worth cultivating for the sake
of their fine, yellow, sweet-scented flowers.
They succeed well, treated as the genus Stanliopea.

This is a very ornamental genus. The
species are fine, hardy, free-flowering trees and
shrubs, succeeding in almost any soil, and
readily increased by seeds, layers, grafts, or
