species (Wild Liquorice) must havo a strong
heat to enable it to flower well. It delights
in loam and peat, and is propagated reat liy
from cuttings, in sand, under a glass. He
roots have the property of the liquorice oi the
shops, while the seeds, if eaten in any quantity,
produce violent headache.
