;Oth o f October remained till th e 25th o f A pril. Th e female i n th e figure is a
variety o f colour, moS o f th a t fex being coloured like th e male. This fpecies is n o t
very common.
The moth before us comes neareft to. the tripda of Efper, Pit. 3. t. but is very diffinft
from it.
The. oak on which it is drawn feems to. be a nondefcript, at leail we cannot certainly
refer it to. any known fpecies, but we dare not defcribe it. as a new one without more ample
materials..
