A thin silver plate, cast and chased, commonly called a shell;
probably intended to hRve a reverse similar to the preceding.
The purpose of this and the preceding piece is not known; they
seem to have been intended as badges of some Society, and are
not contemporary.

Rev. A square monument; at the side a bas-relief representing
Hercules demolishing an altar, on which are the Papal
tiara and keys; behind is the fire of faggots, to which Henry
consigned those who refused to acknowledge his supremacy;
at the foot of the monument is Hymen, desponding, holding
one torch still burning, symbolising the one marriage undissolved
at the death of Henry, while five extinguished torches at his
