 William  is here  compared to Hercules  destroying  so  rapidly  
 the  several  heads  of  the  monster,  that  they  had  not  time  to  
 recover and multiply themselves.  Drogheda, Dublin, Wexford,  
 Waterford, Duncannon,  Cork,  and Kinsale fell rapidly into  his  
 hands,  and  before the  end of  the year almost  every stronghold  
 had been destroyed.
