'I'his is a rare plant in Burmah, if indeed it occurs there at all. The loaves
of some of the Pemk specimens have petioles '5 in. long, but usually they are as
above described.

Trees or shrubs with the habit of TJnona. Sepals 3, valvate or sub-imbricate. Petals
6, 2-seriate, ovate or elongated, flat, or the inner slightly vaulted. Torus convex. Stamens
cuneate; anther-cells extrorse, remote. Ovaries indefinite; style usually oblong; ovules
1-2, basal and erect, or sab-basal and ascending. Ripe carpels 1-seeded, berried.
Distrib.—Tropical Asiatic species about 45; African species 3; Australasian species 2.
