I have seen no entire fruit of this species, but only some loose caipels. When ripe
these are said by Mr. Gallatly to be red.

In the texture and nervation of its leaves this species has a strong roscmblanee
to Fopoum ncrvi/oliti, Maing., and other spocies in its neighbourhood. But tho petals are
not those of a Fopowia, both rows being distinctly hnbricate. The fruit, moreover, is
larger than that of Fopowia, and tho albumen is much more cellular in strnctm-o, being
in this respect, Iflio that of Ellipeia euneifolia, II. f. & Th.
