A dult. E n tire head and neck rich chesnut ; hack and scapularies vivid gi-eenish cobalt,
bx'ighter on the rump ; lea st wing-coverts chesnut, lesser ones black, gi’eater coverts black,
edged with deep greenish blue ; primary coverts rich cohalt ; quills black, white a t the
base, the basal h a lf o f th e o u ter web o f the primaries and the whole of the outer web of the
secondaries rich cobalt ; ta il b rig h t cobalt above, black b eneath ; entire th ro a t and chest,
as well as th e edge of toe wing-joint, p ure wliite ; sides and lower p a rt o f tlie body deep
c hesnut ; b ill coral-red ; feet vermillion ; eyes brown.
