similar in appearance and hab it to the Pohjpodium e ffusum of
Swartz, (figured in vol. i, P la te X X I I I . , and described on
page 73.)

Native of the AVest In d ie s, American Alcridian, and Caraccas,
In tro d u c ed into the Royal Gardens, Kew, in 1841, having
been received from the Roya l Botanic Gardens of Berlin.
The frond quadripinnatifid, pinnæ lanceolate, pinnules linear-
lanceolate, serrate, the se rratures very acute. F ro n d membranous.
