A n interesting although an imperfectly-known species, being
seldom found in collections. I t seems to be a more delicate
P e rn than most others in the section Phlebodium. Some
authorities look upon it as merely a variety, y e t it seems to
have characters sufficiently distinct to warrant it taking die
rank of a species, although it is oftentimes difficult to determine
where varieties end and species begin.
