Polypodium subpetiolatum is not well known b y the F e rn
cultivators generally, being as y e t chiefly confined to th e largest
collections.
I t is an evergreen stove species.
Native of Alexico and Guatemala.
In tro d u c ed into the Royal Gardens, Kew, in 1845, hav in g
been forwarded by Air. I). Cameron.
F ro n d pubescent, linear-lanceolate in form, pinnate, the
pinnæ being entire, and destitute of a foot-stalk.
Late ra l, a rticulated on a scaly creeping rhizoma.
N e a rly all the fronds soriferons throughout.
Sori uniserial.
L en g th of frond from twelve to th irty -six inches ; colour pale
green.
