H a b it almost e re c t; fronds short and broad, and somewhat
crumpled.
Rhizoma horizontal and creeping, about as thick as a finger,
covered with membranaceous undulated reddish pellucid scales.
L ength of frond twelve to eighteen inches; width from four
to six inches; colour heavy dull green.
