T h is tru ly magnificent P e rn is scarcely ever seen, although
it has very few rivals in elegance of habit, indeed I am not
aware th a t it has h itherto been introduced into any other
garden besides th a t at Kew.
An evergreen stove species.
Native of the Islands of Philip p in e and Singapore.
Slender pendulous fronds, which are pubescent in a slight
degree; the form of the frond lanceolate-acuminate; the form
of the pinnæ oblong-acuminate, u ndulated, slightly serrate, base
rounded and a rticulated with the rachis.
Sori uniserial, immersed deeply, forming elevated protuberances
on the up p e r surface of the frond.
