Gonioptei'is poennigera of Pre sl is an ornamental species,
somewhat delicate, y e t easily propagated from the young viviparous
plants growing on the u p p e r portion of the frond.
A n evergreen warm greenhouse species.
Native of New Zealand.
In tro d u c ed into the Royal Gardens, Kew, in 1835.
F ro n d s pinnate, the pinnæ being lanceolate-acuminate in form,
slender, pinnatifid, bluntly lobed, rounded at the base, and
covered with a thin pubescence.
T erminal, adhe ren t to a creeping rhizoma.
F e rtile fronds u p rig h t and contracted.
Rachis and stipes circular, pale green in colour.
