F o u n d growing in woods in Brazil.
In tro d u c ed into the Royal Gardens, Kew, in the year 1841;
having been received from the Royal Gardens of Berlin.
F ro n d s glabrous, somewhat erect, pinnate, the pinnæ being
lanceolate-acuminate in form, narrow, six to ten inches long”
membranous, decu rren t at the base, and extending down the
rachis. One th ird of the stem naked.
L en g th of frond from twenty-four to thirty -six inches; colour
pale g reen, with dark green club-headed veins.
Sori terminal, and pale straw-coloured.
A rticulated with a scaly creeping rhizoma.
