Lobes linear-oblong, acute, or with a lengthened tapering
apex.
This plant has the hab it and general appearance of the P o ly podium
vulgare of Linua:us, except as regards colour, and the
u p p e r surface differs also in being frosted over with a diminutive
white pubescence, giving it a velvety appearance.
To Air. J . A'eitch, Ju n ., of Chelsea, my thanks are due for a
plan t of this lovely F e rn , and to Air. J . Henderson, of AVentworth,
for fronds.
Air. J . A'eitch, Ju n ., appears to be the only N urseryman at
p re sen t who has this F e rn .
T he illustrations are from fronds off a plant in my own collection;
the fertile frond from Air. J . H en derson, of AVentworth.
