T hi s p re tty rare F e rn is a very dissimilar species to any
other of the section Qoniophlebium, in which it has very properly
been placed by Mr. Smith. A lthough scarcely yet known
amongst Fern-growers, still it is a very desirable plant.

Fro n d s slender, pendulous, pubescent, articulated on a scaly
creeping rhizoma. Fro n d s lanceolate in form, pinnate, pinnæ
being distant, sessile, subfalcate, lanceolate-acuminate, membranous,
undula ted , and in a slight degree deflexed, the lower
ones standing forward.
Sori biserial.
L ength of frond from twenty-four to th irty -six inches; colour
pale yellowish green.
In tro d u c ed into E n g la n d in the year 1820.
