Zegi, Sivue lake, fed by the Sagala river, bears S. 6 miles.
Lake drains into Malagarazi river, west of Kiala.
This village is the frontier station of the Wavinza,, E.

/W. This village is 2 miles from the river Malagarazi. Ne-
\ gotiate for ferry, pay to Mutware tribute also.
rBetween river and Ruwhera proceeded through settlements
Mirambo 3 miles, thence to Katalambula 5 miles, thence
to Ruwhera 3 miles. The tawny plains of Uhha lie on
the right or north. On arriving at Katalambula, beware
of the road to Uhha ; even if the traveller crosses into
Uhha by mistake, it is far better to return and seek the
Uvinza road, which by striking direct south he will soon
| discover without a guide.
'W. l/2 N. Path across plain and thin jungle. Here the
traveller should stay, and send some of his men into
Uhha to purchase grain for the wilderness to Ujiji, but
by no means take his caravan thither.
fW. by N. This camp on river is at the Saltpans. Kasenga
< and Kurpuaza villages north of ford 2 miles. Game abundant
to the north, especially buffalo.
