(Passed through Luandalo village. Crossed three mountain-
J ridges. Kafurro is peopled by a few Arab merchants
with their slaves and followers. They obtain water from
a cold spring. To the capital of Rumanika is 3 mil es.

A small village at the southern end of Lake Windermere.

' 9 miles N. by E. from Lake Windermere. Rhinoceros
and cattle exceedingly numerous.
/N. by E. From summit observed Ufumbiro Mountains,
\ three cones bearing W. Game abundant.
/Springs six in number, N. E. end of Kiwandare Mount, at
\ foot of mount.
