Stem 6—12 in., ratber slender. Leaves I J—inche s , oblique, dark green, 3—5-ncrved,
not reticulately veined; petiole i—| in.; sheath short. Spike 2—3 in.; bracts J - 1 in.,
erect, glabrous or puberulous ; flowers pale pink. Zip included, with a rather dilated
recurved rounded tip beyond the sac. Column very short ; rostollum longer than its body ;
stigma broad. Anther ovate-lanceolate, long-beaked ; pollinia davate, bipartite, united
at the base and produced into a slender strap.
A very distinot species, resembling in the leafy stem G. vUtata, also a native of Sikkim, wbicb
has iiesbj dark green leaves with white nerves, a glabrous spike, much shorter bracts, aud a longpointed
lip.
Tlio drawing here reproduced is inscribed "Below Btichim, Sikkim, 7,000 ft., October 1862," in Dr.
Anderson's handwriting. The lateral sepals are represented as acuminate, which they are not in the
examples I examined.
