THE present part of tlie Annals of the Calcutta Garden is the work of three authors.
The descriptions of new and critical species of Ranunculacefe, which occupy pages 71 to
114, together with the accompanying plates, are the work of Mr. P. Briiiil, of the Bengal
Ediicatinnal Service, For the remaining portion of the volume, except the description
and figure of Milula spicata (which were contributed by Dr. D. Prain, Curator of the
ilcrharium of tliis Garden) I am responsible.
