More densely and compactly cæspitose than B. fepilMa, the snhiilate portion of the leaf wider, less papillose,
and not so obscure. The inflorescence appeals to be dioicous. The leaves are so densely congested that the vagi-
nant base is not erect, but only appressed to those above it, and the slightest touch suffices to detach them from
