Jluseum were collected near Cumana in the same country. Our authority for its extension into
New Granada is a specimen in Sclater’s collection, o f the usual unmistakeable Bogota “ make,”
upon which his Tardus ephippialis was established. Tliis bird, however, as we have already
stated, is certainly identical with T. alhiventris; of which, at the time when the new name was
proposed, the synonymy had been wrongly interpreted.
