a r e produced in great abundance. The stove,
g r e e n h o u s e , and frame species, thrive well in a
m i x t u r e of loam, peat , and sand; they should not
b e watered after they have done flowering until
t h e y begin to grow afresh. The shrubby kinds
m a y be increased by cuttings or seeds; the herb
a c e o u s ñbrous-rooted ones by dividing the plants
a t the roots, or b y seeds, the bulbous-rooted species
b y offsets. Most of those m a r k e d greenhouse may
b e g r own in a f rame, only they must be protected
