This F e rn is remarkable for tlie e legant divisions of its fronds,
and for th e da rk coloured lines on its segments, giving a
stria ted appearance.
F ro n d s ta ll, subcoriaceous, ovate-acuminate in form, tri-q u ad -
rip in n a te , pinnules lanceolate, pinnatifid, acuminate and striated.
Ultimate pinnules lobato-crenate.
Caudex stout, creeping, scaly, and woolly.
Veins branched.
L en g th of frond twenty-four inches. Colour b rig h t shining-
green.
Involu c re s h a lf cup-shaped, sunk within th e lobe, compressed,
tru n c a te at the mouth.
