b ran ch ed and fulvous. Stipes slig h tly w inged, w iry , and hairy.
Involucres ovate-orbicular in form, somewhat obliquelj- cuneate
at th e base, and p a rtia lly su n k in th e fro n d , an d b ro ad e r th an
th e segments, the valves ciliated. F ro n d s elastic.
Growing on wet banks.
L e n g th o f fro n d from four to six in c h e s ; colour b rownish green.
