F ro n d s ovate, occasionally subdc ltoid, deeply pinnatifid, sometimes
b i-tripinnatifid, tu fte d , rig id , glabrous, or n e a rly so,
segments approximate, oblong in form, u sua lly en tire , occasionally
sinuato-pinnatifid, or p rofoundly pinnatifid.
Stipes and rachis winged, w ith a v e ry bro ad wing extending
almost to th e base of the stipes.
Involucres en tire ly sunk in th e apices of th e ultimate segments,
cuneato-cylindrical in form, the mouth spreading.
Caudex^ short and creeping.
L en g th of frond from one to six inches. Colour deep green.
