L e n g th of frond four to twelve inches, of which th e lower
five inches in a twelve-inch frond is naked. Colour b rig h t
shining green.
Stipes glabrous.
F e rtile fronds contracted, te rn a te , elongate, occasionally a
frond may be found more or less b e a rin g sori, y e t not contracted.
Sori oblong, marginal, b u t k e ep in g w ithin th e edge, convex
on b oth sides of th e frond, about forty pairs on each pinna,
and six ty pairs on the te rmina l one.
