A hirca rrah is one Who carri'es messages, letters, 8cc. runs in
procession,parrying a short spear'or painted stick, and Waits attend*
ance under the jummadar. He is here dressedrin the Jlahomnjedan
costume, and Wears round his neck large beads of pebbles, or bnyxs,
highly'polish&d. -
