Length of wing 4'4 to 4'0 inches, tail 3-0 to 2-8 inches, culmen 0-89.to 0'82 inch, tarsus 1-3 to
1-24 inch; bastard-primary projecting beyond the primaiy-coverts, its exposed portion measuring l'O
to 0*9 inch. ■ . .
Young in fir s t plumage appear to be unknown. There are ten adult examples in the British
Museum; they are unfortunately unsexed, and may possibly he all males, as none of them show any
trace of green on the mantle. Possibly in this species the females are not suffused with green on
the upper parts.
