to the feathers; ear-coverts dusky brown with narrow shaft-lines; cheeks and throat white,
with a few pale brown spots; fore-neck tinged with buff, and thickly mottled with blackish spots,
which are also pronounced on the breast and sides of the body, which are white; the abdomen and
under tail-coverts white.
