The only species with which it is at all likely to be confused is Geooichla papuensis, which is a
very distinct species, smaller in size, with more white on the outermost rectrices, and with pale sub-
terminal bands across the feathers of the crown.
Neither the huff on the wing-coverts nor the black on the tail is much pronounced in
Geooichla heinii.
This species has never been figured before. Mr. Keulemans has drawn a life-sized figure,
which will be found on the same Plate as G. papuensis, from an example shot near Brisbane in
Queensland.
