Receptaculum elmgatum, ramosissimum, ligmsum vel coriaceum, intus medulla
Jibrosa instructum. Perithecia ramulis adriafa, subglobosa? vel clavata,
apice poro dehiscenüa.
Receptacle elongated, very much branched, o f a woody or coriaceous substance,
contaimng a fibrous pith. Perithecia adnate with the branches,
subglobose.? or clavate, dehiscent b y a pore at the apex.

Plant exteniBng to many inches in length, much branched, o f a reddish or
eddish-brown colour: branches spreading at rig h t angles from the
