ThaUus spreading, in the form of a white web. Filaments very slender,
branched, jointed. Sporidia more ovate than oval, their pedicels arising
in a whorled manner.
In the third species, A . alternatum of L i n k , the sporidia
are arranged alternately. P e r s o o n seems to have taken
a very erroneous view of the genus, tvhich he says hears some
resemblance to Himantia. H e confesses, however, genus
mihi plane ignotum.”
