GENERIC CHARACTER.
eri lum plerumque cylindncum, fe r e ad hasin vel dimidmm evanescens. Fhcci
.mbctmpach, reticulati, basi adnati. Sporulæ floccis inspersæ.
Peridium mostly cylindrical, dimidiate or disappearing nearly to the base.
Filaments rather compact, reticulated, fixed to the base. Sporules inter-
mixed with the filaments.

A rscyria p u n ic e a ; gregaria, congesta, ovato-cylindrica, cìnnabarina.
A. gregarious, crowded, ovate-cylindrical, fine crimson-red.
